Venous leg ulcer

Volume 5 · Issue 4

I am honoured to be chairing the Wound Care track for the upcoming meeting of AVLS in Colorado. The primary target audience of the 35th Annual Congress includes physicians, physician assistants, advanced registered nurse practitioners, ultrasound technologists, practice administrators, lymphedema therapists, and all other healthcare professionals currently or planning to care for patients with venous and lymphatic disease.

Our 2021 sessions will focus on recent research in the field of venous and lymphatic disease, specifically around data from the AVLS PRO 2.0 Venous Registry. With a focus on the interconnections of superficial venous, deep venous, and lymphatic disease we will assess the treatment goals that patients want to accomplish and the impact of venous and lymphatic disease on a patient's quality of life.

Sessions will distinguish between the indications and contraindications of different treatment techniques and technologies. The ability to diagnose and treat lymphedema and phlebolymphedema will also be discussed. Advanced venous and lymphatic diseases and treatments, including wound care and ulcer management will be the focus of the sessions.
