Covid-19: Mother Earth's take on Darwin?

I mourn the upheaval that has come with this pandemic. We are seeing major disruptions of the status quo across economic, psychological, political and sociological relationships. If you listen very closely, you can hear the sounds of a new paradigm, a new resonance in our equilibrium. For each ‘tic’, there is a new form of ‘toc’. Yin and Yang have changed their shape and colour but remain integral and intimate, with one still no more dominant than the other.

With people indoors, the concept of energy conservation becomes evident as less human activity, (less driving, less jets in the air, less technology pounding away at our environment) has resulted in a decrease in the seismic activity of our planet and more, a decrease in pollution.

If I think in more metaphysical terms, I perceive some sort of deep, philosophical point being made which seems to fit in no other category. Looking at the entire spectrum of events, actions and reactions to the current pandemic, clearly something is afoot well beyond the reach of humankind.
