Abstract

At a time when we need each other's support and advice more than ever, our community has been physically separated. Without our in-person events and opportunities to meet up throughout the year, creativity in communication has thrived. The American Vein & Lymphatic Socitey (AVLS) community has learned how to be apart, together through online communities, webinars, virtual events, online resources and a commitment to the future.

At the outset of COVID-19 outbreak, the American Vein & Lymphatic socitey (AVLS) members wanted to build an online resource for our community to navigate this new territory. By the end of March, our members had compiled a library of resources to answer questions regarding practice guidelines, staffing, PPE, telemedicine, and financial relief. Over these past few months, the resource has continued to evolve and grow to include stories from our members on the ‘front lines’ and things to consider for re-opening.

The internet is currently overrun with articles and advice about handling COVID-19. Our leadership cut through all of the clutter to make this library a concise resource. Instead of a Google search results onslaught of articles that may or may not be relevant, this resource is tailored to meet the needs of venous and lymphatic medical practitioners and direct them to the correct authorities.

The AVLS COVID-19 resource library is available at https://myavls.org/covid-19.
